Dr. Diego Espinosa
Dr. Diego Espinosa was born and raised in San Diego, California, where he is now proud to practice veterinary medicine in his hometown. His journey in veterinary medicine began at a young age starting as a kennel assistant and gaining experience in many aspects of veterinary care along the way. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned his undergraduate degree before continuing to the University of California, Davis, for his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Espinosa enjoys practicing all aspects of veterinary medicine and has a particular interest in surgery, dentistry, orthopedic and pain management, and dermatology. He is Fear Free Certified and a USDA-accredited veterinarian. He especially enjoys developing lasting relationships with his patients and their owners and supporting them throughout every stage of their pets’ lives, from adolescence through their senior years.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Espinosa enjoys staying active through surfing and hiking, traveling and exploring new places with his wife and their two dogs, Bear and Georgia. He is also an avid San Diego sports fan and enjoys attending Padres and San Diego FC games. As a lifelong San Diegan, he is excited to care for the pets and families in the community he is proud to call home.
