Dr. Crystal Herr
Dr. Herr was born and raised in Maryland. She moved to Virginia to attend Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, where she received her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2022. She has always enjoyed helping animals, both companions and wildlife. After veterinary school, she moved west to enjoy everything California has to offer. She completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at VCA California Veterinary Specialists to further expand her veterinary skills in various specialties of veterinary medicine.
She has a special interest in internal medicine, surgery, pathology, and rehabilitation medicine. She is fear-free certified, with a passion for reducing the stress pets feel in the veterinary clinic, and enjoys managing chronic diseases and practicing preventative care to extend both the quality and length of a pet's life. Geriatric patients hold a special place in their heart.
In her free time, she and her boyfriend enjoy going to the beach, hiking, and bonfires, but also enjoy staying in for a movie night, cooking, and spending time with their cat Peanut Butter.
